Tyoga CareNet considers itself to be a payor (or health plan) friendly provider network. One or our primary goals is to ensure that employers and individuals have adequate competitive choices when shopping for health plans.

Basic Information

  • Tyoga CareNet supports a single-signature approach to contracting for provider services. This allows payors the benefit of dealing with one individual that has the ability to negotiating contracts that include the entire network.
  • Tyoga CareNet providers agree to four standard provider reimbursement options. These four reimbursement options can be matched to the unique needs of any payor. This system can accommodate health plans desiring simple plans with few managed care features or more complicated plans with more intensive managed care features. The best discounts are reserved for the larger groups or those health plans that are willing to support stronger steerage features.
  • Tyoga CareNet can also accommodate payors that require regional or national provider access through relationships we can provide with other provider networks.

Purchasing Access to the Network

Access to Tyoga CareNet can be obtained in two ways. Ideally, the payor will purchase access directly from Tyoga CareNet. Purchasing on a direct basis, the payor can acquire access to Tyoga CareNet providers alone or in combination with one or more of our other network affiliations. Access to the more sophisticated pricing mechanisms cannot be obtained without purchasing access to the network on a direct basis.

Alternatively, access to Tyoga CareNet providers can be purchased through one of our affiliated networks. If the payor purchases network services through one of these entities, access to Tyoga CareNet providers is obtained as well. This is the simplest approach; however, the discounts are least for this form of purchase.
